Mailing list management

Fleet 9 now has an official mailing list that allows you to keep control of your email address so that you can receive Fleet 9 news wherever and whenever you want.

 
In order to sign up for the mailing list you need to send an email to mailman@catalina36fleet9.org with the text "subscribe" on a line on its own in the body of the email.  The subject of the email doesn't matter. You will receive an email reply from - the list manager - telling you that your request was accepted and a request has been forwarded to the list owner. It may take a day or two for the list owner to approve the request and when he does you will receive a welcome message with further information in it.
 
If at any time you wish to remove yourself from the list simply send an email to mailman@catalina36fleet9.org with the text "unsubscribe" on a line on its own in the body of the email. The subject of the email doesn't matter. You will be automatically removed from the list - this will happen immediately since no approval is required.
 
Note that you may register as many email addresses as you wish and can add or remove them at any time.
 
For your privacy the email addresses of list members are not available online nor do they appear in any emails sent to the list. The list is maintained on a private server owned by one of the Fleet 9 members and is not available to anyone for any purpose. Additionally, only named list members may send email to the list. Currently these are the Fleet 9 Officers and those members coordinating cruises or workshops. If you have a need to email the Fleet 9 list or have any other related questions please send a request to mailman@catalina36fleet9.org.
