[Fleet9] Fleet 9 Annual Dinner Change

Fleet 9,
We have had to change our destination plans for the Annual Dinner on Nov 8.
We waited too long to get into South Beach and they are full. After
searching around the bay for availability of other destinations, we have
decided to go to the Oakland/Alameda estuary where we can get slips and have
access to restaurants near the water.
 
We will dock the boats at Grand Marina in Alameda. Migration and
Perseverance are docked there already. We have contacted the harbormaster
and have slips reserved near us. The slip cost will be $36 per night, with a
$30 deposit for gate keys (cash or check).
 
We will plan to have drinks and appetizers on the dock before heading to the
restaurant.
 
Dinner will be @ 8:00 PM at the Fat Lady Restaurant at Jack London Square.
We will either take all to Jack London in one boat, or carpool from Grand to

These boats were confirmed for South Beach, I will assume that they are now
going to the estuary.

For those who wanted to go to Town's End Restaurant for breakfast on Sunday,
I will be checking availability with South Beach on Wednesday. We could also
anchor out and dingy to shore, or just carpool from Alameda to SF. I will
advise those who have signed up what I find out about South Beach.
 
Please let me know if you will be able to attend this event so we can
finalize the reservations. I will send out the slip assignments the week
before the cruise.
